Vibrant colours are a hallmark of Tim’s distinctive glass bowls, vases, sculptural forms, flowers, lamps, table lights and chandeliers.
Tim works primarily with hot blown glass, creating pieces from the functional to the sculptural. He often works on blown objects once they have cooled – carving, grinding, polishing and sand blasting to get the desired effect. This is a radical approach that by nature is both dangerous and exhilarating.
He is strongly influenced by the natural world and his pieces reflect his passion about the state of the environment.
Tim trained and worked in the UK and Europe starting in the 1980s, perfecting and honing a unique style of art glass. Over the years he has won multiple awards and exhibited in the US and UK.
Tim moved with his family to Australia in 2002 and has built a hot glass studio in the Adelaide Hills.
He joined the Collective in 2024.
