Janet’s watercolours, etchings and prints look into the natural world with wonder and reverence, combining and layering images in a unique visual expression.
Born on a Kangaroo Island sheep farm, she investigates these loved shorelines and scrublands in detailed explorations of nature.
Usually multiple plates carrying different colours are involved in each etching and sometimes chine collé, archival digital, and hand painted elements are included.
Janet graduated from the SA School of Art and has spent some 37 years teaching.
She works full time from her home-based studio on the Fleurieu Peninsula.
Janet’s work is represented in private and public collections in Australia and overseas. She joined the Collective in 2014.
