Jo creates her scarves, shawls, tea towels and blankets from scratch, beginning with spinning, dyeing and then weaving her own natural fibres. After 20 years of spinning and weaving Jo still combines traditional and contemporary patterns in pieces that are both colourful and practical. As an award-winning spinner, she produces fine and consistent yarns in a variety of natural fibres. With an emphasis on quality, she creates luxuriant yarns using locally sourced and hand dyed wool, alpaca, tencel and silk in her weaving, she also loves to weave with cotton.

Jo took up spinning after many years training as a veterinarian and loved the technical challenge. She then graduated to weaving from her own colourful stash of fibres. Jo is inspired by patterns involving texture and colour, especially for useful, durable and wearable items.
