August uses layers and fluid paints to create depth and flowing, dynamic movements within her landscape paintings.Her abstract and semi-abstract works evoke the elusive feeling of beauty surrounding her Adelaide Hills bushland home. She draws on the deep sense of peace in the natural cycles of life, attempting to capture beyond the surface of what we see; what is fleeting yet eternal.

Her paintings are informed by her background as a landscape designer and passionate gardener, and when she’s not painting in her home studio she can be found getting her hands dirty in the garden.

After many years of observation and painting as a hobby, August took the leap to become a full-time artist in 2020 and has not looked back. She became a member of T’Arts in 2026.
