Suzette Watkins

Silversmith and Jewellery Designer/Maker

artist website

Suzette’s necklaces, rings, pendants, brooches and earrings in silver and semi-precious stones echo the colours and textures of specific places in the Australian landscape.

Taking inspiration from her travels throughout Australia, Suzette translates the country’s incredible variety of habitats, flora, fauna and formations into vibrant, original jewellery. All the pieces are made by hand in Suzette’s Adelaide studio and are boxed together with one of husband Mike’s photographs of the inspiration.

At the age 56 Suzette swapped her arts management job in Alice Springs for a jewellers’ bench in Adelaide and she retrained as a silversmith. She brings a keen eye for colour and an emphasis on bold colour, shape, texture and light.

Suzette has been a member of the Collective since 2006.

There’s so much to look at, we suggest you come and browse. If you just can’t choose between the 2 or 3 (or more) items you simply have to have, why not take a moment to sit down and relax, and have lunch or coffee at one of the cafes just next to our gallery. And when you come back in, you’ll know exactly which work of art is right for you.

Come and find us in Gay's Arcade, inside Adelaide Arcade in Rundle Mall, Adeaide. We’d love to see you.
