Painter, Printmaker, Installation Artist
Painting, drawing and hand coloured lino prints are Kathryn’s main forms of expression, combined with encaustic (hot wax) techniques, textiles and hand-stitching, assemblage and installations
Kathryn calls art her difficult friend; it frustrates and instructs and delights. She finds herself engrossed in the almost meditative processes of surface preparation and application of paint, ink or wax and the repetition and movement of the drawn, incised or stitched line.
Kathryn likes to experiment and play, bringing a sense of curiosity and patience to her work and over the last thirty-five years she has come to understand the power of images as a conduit to communicate ideas between people.
Kathryn joined the Collective in 2007.
