Weaving in natural fibres has been Bella’s profession and passion for over three decades. To achieve her unique, vibrant colours and combinations Bella hand dyes her yarns with safe colourfast dyes.

Working and creating from her home-based studio under the label ‘bellatextiles’, Bella’s hand weaving focuses on useful, wearable pieces which go beyond the ordinary and are a simple, timeless and elegant alternative to mass produced items.

She sources her fibres locally and within Australia, and chooses only the finest alpaca, silk, linen, merino wool and eco-friendly tencel.

Her unique designs and patterns are created in a weaving software program, then woven with her 32 and 8 shaft hand operated dobby looms. Bella joined the Collective in 2013.
