Fibre Artist
Weaving with natural fibres is an essential part of Bev’s work to create clothing, tapestries, mixed media collages, handmade felt, scarves and handmade paper.
Bev uses a complex array of fibres, stitching and patterning on fabrics, mainly wool and cotton, for her creations.
She enjoys the versatility of fibre as it takes in colour and produces texture, allowing her to add an overlay of words or printmaking. The overlapping of mediums, the feel of the fibre, stimulates her visions to embellish and create.
Captured through the lens of her camera, nature is an important factor in Bev’s designs and colours, creating exuberant textures and shapes transferred into fabric.
Bev is a founding member of the Collective.
